I was wondering if anyone could tell me any more about these heads and intake?
On the heads it was C8AE 6080 R on both sides. The intake Has a big S and then C8AE 9425 R . That was all that I could make out. Let me know if there is more I need to look for. Thanks Correction the intake is not an R it is an F sorry I got to reading the line for the heads. Thanks

I believe the C8AE 6090 R codes are cobra jet heads. dont know about the intake, I am a little confused about what letters mean what on those. I was told that the big S is just a GT manifold, but with the R on the end of the casting I dunno.
No those are not cobra jet heads. I bet they are C6AE-R or C8AE-H. Be sure your posting the right number and please double check it. Those 2 heads are quite different. Sometimes the numbers and letter are slurred and hard to read. The date code is between the 2 center valve springs. Post what that reads...it'll help. Double check the intake number also.
ok I doubled checked this morring. The Heads Are C8AE 6080 R , The Intake Big S Then C8AE 9425 F, The Carb Tag Says C6AF F C6CE ( autolight 4100) and the Block reads C6MEA before the starter and by the oil filter 6H 1 1 Thanks
Ok the intake is a 390 GT intake. I'm comming up empty on the heads. I have C8AE-H, F, J, B, A but no R? Maybe B or F heads? The only R head that come to mind are the C6-R's. Unless Bill (Numbers Dummy) might know? If hr does not know can you post a pic in your gallery? Also what are the date codes between the 2 center valve springs? Look for a number/letter/number(s) Ex: 8J13.
The heads are still on the truck. I need to put valve cover gaskets on at some time and will check then. I checked the head numbers 2 times this morring both sides and that is what i am coming up with. I will see if i can take a picture some time, but i am leaving for school today so it could be a while. thanks
I will aslo try and send bill a pm and see what he says. thanks
Thanks If you find any more about them please let me know. I also found a tag on the front driver side head that is very loose that says 352 67 17 Next line 6H 291 A . I really dont know much about the tag, and it is becoming clear that nothing is from the same motor I think. TThis summer i want to check the stroke, i have been told it is a 390 but I have a feeling it is a 352. Thanks again to all.
Ok that make it hard to see being on the truck. I'm betting the R is slurred and is a H. But without being able to see them I can only guess. Try.. Bill he's the man and has way more info than me.
You thought they might be slured and be a F, H ,A, or B. Could you tell me about those? thanks

The H heads are the more common of the bunch. Same specs as the later D2 heads minus the hardened induction seats. STD 2.02/1.55 valve and 68-72 cc chambers. The B and A heads same std valves with smaller chambers in the 67-71 range. The J heads are really rare to find and they are 427 heads and I as I remember used on some Cougar GTE's until the C8WE-A's were produced. But with only something like 354 of those cars made few and far between. I might be a little off on those head CC figures as I'm going on memory here. But close I think.
