Arm, that is. Looks like I may have a torn bicep muscle. Find out after the MRI in the morning. I have a temporary cast that goes from my hand to my armpit. Just what I need entering the construction season.
Guess I'll go see if I have any of that all-purpose cough medicene/pain reliever left. I wonder how bad an MRI will be hung over....
What really stinks is that it is my writing/typing/driving/personal hygiene hand. You never realize how difficult some things are until you try them wrong handed.
I tore my right bi-cep years ago playing Rugby and like a *******, I never went to the doctor because I thought it was just a bad bruise. Only after about 2 months when the black and blue wore off of my arm and the swelling went down, did I realize that I had torn it. Needless to say , it was never repaired and I wish that I had done it. It is going to be a problem your whole life if you dont have it repaired, trust me.
Just what I need entering the construction season.
Thank goodness for air nailers, huh? Time to cash in some points with the miss' or a miss'?
I don't do that kind of work - I am an Engineer but my busiest time of year is coming up and this kind of injury could really put a damper on what I can and can't do.
Had the MRI yesterday - the doctor should have the report tomorrow and we'll see what he says after that.
I hope everything works out ok. I just finished 5 wks of PT for my back. Its much better & I'm ready for spring now. I work in construction & know how much work picks up this time of the yr. I do side jobs a lot this time of yr & I'd hate to lose the extra money.
I just got the call from the doctor's office. No surgery but I have to go have a hard cast put on it. Won't that be fun....
I didn't talk to the doctor yet so I have no idea how long I will have the cast for but it will definitely be better than surgery - as long as it heals right.
So, now the fight with the company over whether I can come to work with a cast on my arm.....
