loss of power with ccv mod
#3
This issue came up in the TAG thread, and oddly enough, someone suggested a new thread be started...
But anyway, I haven't noticed any decrease, and in fact with the 6637 filter in place and the CCV coupler removed from the intake tube, I notice a bit better performance...

Perhaps it's the power of suggestion, you haven't been reading this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/588228-turbo-air-guide-tag.html have you? I think you do lose a couple of HP, based on what I've been told, not my experience because I don't have the CCV mod. But to notice a HP loss by the SOP driving, I think you would have to seriously over pressurize the crankcase, and you should see oil blowing past some seals by now.
