I have just happened across a pair of these awsome speakers. a little too pricey but perfect for anyone who ever heard the thump thump of the idiot next to you. i'm quite sure these could end that annoying thump thump. too bad it would give you a couple of annoying rattles.
You want over the top. If you have deep enough pockets and willing to turn your bed into a sub box try the MTX Jackhammer. Its a 22inch sub that weighs 369 pounds and can reach 185 decibels. That is close to the world record for car audio. That is just with the one sub.
Of course you'll need 4 or 5 alternators that can put out 300 amps or so each, and be willing to trade your new corvette for the money to buy the sub, the amps, and other equipment you will need.
And the fact you could never listen to it at it's full potential without losing your hearing...it's absolutely cool...but a total waste for anyone but the true competitions who have rigs devoted to sound and nothing more.
You guys have no idea what your talking about. Dont make stuff up and try to pass it off as legit because its only a matter of time before someone who knows what your talking about comes by. Like now for example...
The Jack Hammer is not even close to the largest woofer in the world. The largest woofer in the world is a prototype designed by Richard Clark and some other guy. Its 60" wide. There are other manufacturers that make larger woofers then the Jackhammer. Audiobahn made a 34" sub. Clarion use to make a very large sub (larger then 22").

What sub(s) you have is completely irrelevant to how many alternators you need. Its how powerful your amps are that decided what alternator(s) you need. The Jackhammer is rated for 6,000 watts RMS. I have about double that amount of power that will be going in my Excursion and I only have three 205 amp alternators, which are more then enough.

Also wrong. Very few people have actually bought a Jackhammer. The only one I have seen is the on in Pimp My Ride. Well in that show the Jackhammer (according to their meter) wasn’t even over 120 dB. Well my system in my Jeep was over 156 dB. and I have listened to it on max volume over 500 times and I still can hear. Now I know the Jackhammer could produce SPL levels well over 150 dB. if given the chance, but that will not completely rob you of your hearing instantly. I have three years of experience with a 155 + dB. system to back that statement up.

Also bull****. The current world record for the loudest system in the world is a touch over 180 dB. Going just from 180 to 183 dB. is twice as loud and requires twice the acoustical power. There is no chance in hell the Jackhammer can produce anything remotely close to 185 dB. in any application regardless of how much power you are running to it. Not even close.
Well, I was just going by what was written in the truckin magazine article on the jackhammer chevy avalanche demo vehicle built for MTX. Everything I wrote down came directly from the article.
You want to say the information is false, complain to them, because a lot of people saw that article.
