When driving down the highway at about 55-75 mph the truck seems to surge! It will gain power then go back to were it was. I have a superchip installed in it set on the lowest setting (tow safe). The only motifications i have are a 4" exhaust and a updated ford air intake! It is a 2000 f-250 psd! I have had all the fluids changed and a new clutch put in about 5,000 miles ago ( 88100 on the truck now). I also just replaced the cps! he only thing I can come up with is the accelorater peddle, couse some times it seems when getting up to speed it does the same thing but not as bad, and if i let of of the peddle it stops and returns to normal. thank you.
I'm with Ron, try the same speeds with the cruise on. If it doesn't surge, you've narrowed it down to the throttle pedal. If it continues to surge, you have other issues.
I think I have a similar problem..it feels more like a very small shudder between 45-60. Its not a big deal considering it goes away once the truck warms up. Good luck finding the cure.
well I tried the cruise control and it seems to do it but not as bad. I haven't pulled the chip yet but I will tommorw! What could be some of the issue that make it do that! I tryed to pull some codes but didn't get anything. I thought maybe a bad injector!
how cold is it outside there? Does it stop once it is warmed up? When it surges do you notice any changes in exhaust niose? My truck surges occaisonally when it's cold out because of the exhaust back pressure valve opening and closing.

With such low mileage, I doubt you have a bad injector. However, I would suspect a bad UVC harness. This is a common issue, and can cause your engine to surge, stumble, or even stall.
Has it always behaved this way with the Superchip? If so, I might be able to provide a benign explanation. I switched from a Banks chip to a 70 HP TOW file (XLE4) Superchip that plugs into the PCM several years ago, and I've had what sounds to be a somewhat similar situation ever since. My problem occurs primarily in cruise control while towing, but I can also detect it while accelerating, especially with my 5er in tow.
