yeah, we usually try to get out a few times. the missus usually gets a few, while i get skunked...never figure that out...

lol...we were at the lake of the praries last year...she hauls up 3 big walleye in a row...i'm sitting there 7 feet away from her and didn't even get a nibble. i usually outfish her in the summer though...

Oh yeah lol Sounds like your a pretty avid fisherman, ever been up at tobin lake? Its pretty popular and right near where i grew up.

i wouldn't call it "avid" anymore, but i get at it when i can. i've heard of tobin lake, but never fished it. supposed to be pretty good?

Best ice fishing we ever had was northeast of Yellowknife. Head up the winter road and duck off into one of the hundreds of lakes out there. Need a good sized truck or sled though. We head out early, make camp... then it's fishing and cocktails for the "day". Catch 'em, clean 'em and cook 'em. I swear all fish taste better in the north. Must be something to do with the cold water. And if you're real lucky, you can snag a 'boo for dinner. THAT's the life!

Pics. are coming... and the boat is a Trojan F-25 with a Ford 302 Mercruiser straight-shaft. Engine has 150 hours on her! Trojan made damn fine hulls back then, actually they used this hull right up to the 32/35? boats I believe. It's 50/50. I would like to keep her and use her as a private boat to get around the rules, but I would also like some capital back to throw somewhere else.
