Man the weather is sooooo nice right now i just went to where my effie is stored, hopped in her, and fired her up. It was the best feeling in the world. I sat there and let her warm up nice and good, then i gave her some slams to the floor to knock any carbon loose etc. The next door neighbor came running out of the house to see what the heck was going on. (if any of you were at the meeting at the A&W, you might remember how loud my flatty is, lol) Wow what an awesome day. i spent like 2 hours playin in her. I think im gonna do it again tomorrow
Ya I agree today is dang nice, did nt have a clue what to do with myself spent all afternoon thinking of what should I do.
1- strip the tow truck
2- take bed off the 1957 and start to put in cab corners
3- sand and prep the 1949 for another red layer
4- body work on the 1968
I didn't do any this weekend though I decided was going to be all about my 1968. Maybe get to the 1957 by the end of the week. The 1949 is getting put on the back burner I guess, And since all my work (working) trucks like my 1975 are barried in snow I wouldn't be able to transport the parts to places from the tow truck so that will have to wait.
Sounds good about the flattie watch out not to rev it that much, sure hate to see a pistion outside the block.
Far from rich man lol. And actually it is going to be a "budget" project. I want to see if I can utilize my skills, and the skills of friends and stuff, and do it all for cheap. Not gonna monster it though since its just s 4x2. plans are to cut the frame/box down. Rebuild the 302 and put a mild cam, do some headwork, and get and intake and headers for it. Other then that its gonna get fresh paint, my old 10 inch wide directional chrome mags on it, traction bars, and a locker type deal in the rear end I cant wait to get started on it either.
I fired up Kermitt today. 3 pumps on the pedal and the old 460 came to life . Oh Kermitt is my boat puller lol. got the registraton for it from SGI the other day and it will now cost me $123.00 for the year
