I've got dual tanks and I mistakenly thought the rear was empty instead of the front tank. I originally filled it up the rear and added 12oz of Diesel Clean. But then this time I ended up adding another 12oz and was only able to put 8gal of fuel thinking it was empty. Any harm with a higher concentration? It's the stuff in the white bottle.
Shouldn't hurt. I'm pretty sure your fuel WON'T gel on you on this tank full. Your cetane rating will be higher thats all. Truck might seem like it has a bit more getty up but nothing to write home and tell mom about. Let us know if you encounter probs.
14psd is correct. Over doseing does not hurt, but adding above the high rate application you do not get very much, if any gain in cetane boost or protection. Alot of people, I'm one of them, have used straight Diesel Kleen in the filter housing to help probelm trucks.
Thanks plowhand. You said you have used straight Diesel Kleen in the filter housing to help problem trucks, what ones that won't start cuz of the cold/gelling? I have used both the white bottle and red (911) bottle in gelling situations. Is that what you mean?
14psd for cold gelling and on injector replacements, I've used 1/2 grey bottle & 1/2 diesel to refill the filter housing. I've also used straight (grey or white) on some trucks with algae, along with a biocide in the tanks.
