What are the Fuel Capacities of the 2 tanks on a 1995 F150 5.0L?

Shortbed: 16 front, 18.2 rear
Longbed: 19 front, 18.2 rear

Those are from an OWNER'S MANUAL. Others will post all kinds of crazy figures based on how much gas they could or couldn't get into the tank, or based on the claimed sizes of aftermarket tanks. With the filler necks and slope of the truck, you may get a little more or less out of each tank. When I run my tanks dry, I get about 19.6 into the front and 18 into the rear, topping off past the shut-off.

Question

Thanks everyone...I finally found my owners manual and it confirmed the the front is an 19 gal and the rear is an 18.2 gal.

I was wondering what kind of fuel mileage are other people getting on a 1995 5.0L Standard Cab, 8' Bed Stock F150?

Auto or manual, and how heavy is your foot.
Mine Foot is slightly denser then lead, so it dosent help my fuel mileage.

Auto....my foot is not too heavy....I haven't really figured it out but I only get maybe 250 miles out of 2 tanks....does that sound bad?

Yes that sounds bad. Try filling one tank and run it till its empty and calculate your mileage. Remember to try and do this when the truck is empty.

I'll have to give that a try...i just filled up today. Maybe it not as bad as I think...I never let it run below an 1/4 tank.

Most of the driving around here is stop and go. A lot of traffic lights and stop signs. It really doesn't bother me because I only have a 2 mile drive to work. I have a 94 explorer that we use for family trips and stuff...and that has a 4.0L V6....so its not too bad on gas.

It doesn't help either that I let it run in the morning to let it warm up before i go to work to clear the windows...so that eats up some gas I guess
