EVAP System Code

My aunts got an '03 escape I'm working on that is showing a P0457 Evap control system pressure sensure leak(fuel cap loos/off). They said it started with a gas cap light off about a year ago, put a new gas cap on it and it didnt fix it. After that, the check engine light came on and its throwing this code. I know theres a smoke tester to check for leaks in this system, but are there any common areas these things leak? Thanks
