I have seen one in use....my opinion is its a waste of money. On my trail truck I run a t-max winch and an oasis onboard air compressor .I also have a 10 gallon holding tank....I run impacts with no problem. If you are looking to just air up tires it would work fine...but it is alot of weight and alot taller compared to a regular winch.I have a little less invested and can do alot more with what I have.

I have a Warn 12,000 lb winch and have used it quite a bit but plan on getting the powerplant because all I would need it for is airing up the tires.

I have a Warn 15,000 on my 06 CC 4x4 PSD w/ 6" lift with 36's and have winched myself and others out with no problem. I truly believe that the first accessory for a truck should be a winch cause mine has saved me before and after the lift and tires. Good luck on your decision

I have the Warn 12,000 (they didn't have the 15,000 at the time) and have used it a lot. Mostly to get other people out but have needed it myself a few times.

I got my performance products catalog in the mail yesterday and I think they were listed for a little less, but not much.. maybe $10-$20. I just checked their web site and they aren't listed. You may want to call them and sign up for their catalog.

how hard is it to install a winch....I'm looking for one for my 04 f250 psd. I don't want to buy one of those big *** bumpers, do they have one that goes behind the bumper like I have seen?

Yeah they have the semi-hidden setup:

I had somebody install mine, I know it's not a 1 man operation because the winch itself is too heavy for 1 person.

I just purchased the 16.5ti for $1650.00, the bumper extension was $400 and something, then the skirting kit was around $190 I believe. Place in Portland area did a price match from Central.
