Why such a huge price difference?
I was just wondering why the CPS is so expensive at a dealership? I was quoted a price today at $195.00. I was looking on ebay and they are selling for $50-$60. What's the deal? Is ebay the way to go on this item?

Made me laugh 14psd...I replaced mine (from Ford) through my local mechanic a couple weeks ago for $155 inc. labor...10 minutes more or less. Sounds like it's quite marked-up at $190.

190 thats nothing, I called the Ford dealer here (northern BC, Canada) and they were $400....I called the dealer to see how much they wanted after finding out the auto parts store (NAPA) wanted $560, and Lordco wanted $400 also.

I think I paid 150'shcan at the international dealer. gotta love cheap american prices, makes all us canadians look like suckers when we walk into parts stores

Well I recieved the CPS on Saturday and installed it that day. It's a Ford part and I'll probably order another part for insurance purposes. You can't go wrong with that price. Bridgeman might have the right answer but I know nothing!
