Ever Change a Side View Mirror?
I have a 2005 F150 Supercrew. Some goof in a Trailblazer hit my truck while parked in front of my house and broke the entire mirror off where it pivots on the driver's side. I have a replacement, but have no idea how to replace it. I am guessing that I need to remove the door panel which is something I've never done before. Any advice or help?

Door Panel Removal
Remove the little cover plate behind the interior door handle w/ small flatblade screwdriver.
Remove 2 screws behind the coverplate.
Remove armrest/window switch panel cover.Start from the front of armrest/switch panel and lift the cover off the armrest,then unplug window and doorlock switches.
Remove screw from switch panel hole w/10mm socket.
Remove speaker grill,pry off with small flat blade screwdriver.
Remove 4 screws to the speaker,remove the speaker.
Remove the bottom 2 white plastic things the speaker screws attatch to.
Remove 2 screws at the bottom of the door panel.Lift door panel up and away from door while finagleing the interior doorhandle through the hole in the door panel.
It's easier than it sounds.

nice write-up Nassty! I had to do this about a week ago when a "touchless" carwash knocked mine off. The only problem I had was removing the 2 white plastic things that the speaker screws attach to. I am done, but if you know of a trick I think that would help out these other guys.

I just learned how to remove the door panels myself a couple weeks ago.I took one of my door panels off to tint my side windows.I got a wrinkle that wasn't gonna come out so pealed it off put the door panel back on and said to he11 with it.I'm gonna try again this weekend when I install my Mark LT doorhandles.That way if I mess up the tint it won't be a total loss.

I replaced my mirror about 4 months ago. These instructions are dead on. Just follow them in order and you'll have it replaced in no time. My wife borrowed my truck to go to IKEA and came back with a busted mirror on the drivers side. She said someone must have hit it in the parking lot
