Last night while driving i had to stop and when i stopped i had very little clutch pedal. it would not go into a forward gear. it went into reverse. i managed to get rolling and get it into first and went on my way. after that the pedal has come back to almost "normal" . there is no fluid leaking any ware that i can see. the reservoir is at normal level. it also "kreeps" while its in gear at a stop light.
I talked to a auto teacher he said it sound like the clutch is going. but its only got +- 40,000 on it.
whats the problem? if it is the clutch about how much is it to replace?

You might want to check the switch cheap plastic rod it could be stuck or like it happened to me the plastic rod came loose because of a broken cheap plastic clip.
I just got me a 2000 Ranger 3.0, 5 spd and I don't know about the quality of these Rangers, but mine is 80% plastic parts "cheap garbage"
I think I might sale the truck, I wasted a lot of dough replacing parts made out of plastic already.
What ever happened to the ol good metal cars?
Who made these trucks? Ford co or Fisher price
You may have air in the clutch line or maybe even a bad clutch master or slave cylinder which could leak pressure back and cause the truck to creep. I had that happen in a 1990 F250 I had...I wasn't losing fluid but the slave couldn't hold pressure and if you were at a stop light and the clutch was held in with the tranny in gear it would eventually start to creep forward.
