I'm very curious too. I live in MN and my hoses are just beginning to leak a little around the crimping. The weathers is getting better and I'll be ready to replace these as soon as things aren't all wet or icy. Love to hear from someone who has done this already.
Thanks.
Hi
I had mine replaced by the dealer this winter. It was to cold to do my self, but dosent look that hard. The part was over $200.00 and the labor was $90.00 , which included some oil.
I had mine done by the dealer. I guess it depends on whether you have 4wd or not and the engine itself. The location where the oil filter normally attaches is blocked by the hump from the front axle. So to replace mine they had to drop the front axle.
Here are the parts needed for my application (97 Expedition, 5.4). I think it's the same for other models but check to be sure. I ordered parts from Y2KFord (Ed/Willie). Best price, good service, nice guy. Ken
thanks for the info! Mine has stopped leaking because it's warmer out and the material has expanded relative to the temp. I'll still fix it though. I'm going to replace all the shocks and put a rear sway bar on, so I'll just lump all these things together into one weeknd project.
