Ummm, I'm pretty sure he was kidding. The bigger the tire the worse the mileage.
Reason being, bigger tires weigh more.

i think he was kidding too? maybe not, but bigger tires does not = better mileage incase anyone was confused.

I were just kidding too. I know bigger = bad mileage. and 40s and d44 dont mix.

no way? I thought the '44' in d44 meant you could run 44s no problem

edit: serioulsy though, it would be nice to put together a FAQ, but for some reason FTE has stopped using stickies(for the most part), not really sure what thats all about.

Never plan on the other guy having something to pull you out with. Take your own strap or chain.

Always wheel alone, that way you are real careful. Kinda like cutting towards yourself with a knife.

ANOTHER GOOD TIP : take a idiot with you and tell them to stick there head out the winda and see if the tire is goin flat ...and when they do ...stomp it and sling mud all over them ....(i done this to my cousin that dont know nuttin about bein in mud)

Per Steve - when mudding, always bring the significant other along so there's someone to hook up the winch. Wife is also good for holding the beer cooler in when in extreme water.
