I got stuck in the mud today. So I turn the ESOF to 4X4 low and still couldn't get out. I did manage to back the truck out. Now the truck will not come out if 4X4 low. I tried lock the hubs manually and drive in reverse and forward then turning the hubs back to Auto but it is still locked in 4X4 low. What could be wrong?
Yes I did. After several attempts it finally came out of 4X4 low, but when I put it in reverse it made a horrible griding sound for about 3 seconds then it engaged into reverse. Everything seems to be okay now. Thanks.
I'm glad you got it out of 4L. Yea 4L can sound pretty rough but its normal. THe thing about 4L you have to have it in neutral before it'll go into or out of 4L. So what i do is a press the breakpetal then shift to neutral then left of break then shift to 4L then press the break again then shift gear. I do this to make sure i'm in neutral and now its natural after having 3 trucks back to back with the esof 4x4s. Now i do it so smooth someone watching cant see it happen.
Just some homegrown advice once you where stuck you should have gotten out and locked the hubs in then shifted to 4L cause the esof requires the wheels moving to lock the hubs in.
