O2 Sensor
Hello all:
Hope you can help me out here, I am totally confused
I just replaced an O2 sensor in my 96 Bronco. I was getting codes p0153 and p1151 which pointed to the sensor on bank two. I drove the truck with my code counter plugged in after installing and received the same codes again, only this time they are only pending(no MIL). I cleared the chip after I installed the O2 sensor. Question, where is bank 2 on the Bronco (I put the new sensor on the passenger side), and should I have waited till the truck was cooled down before I ran a code check again?
Thanks All

oh man O2 sensors. I had one go out every trip to Laughlin this year. $50 each time before I ever hit the casinos.
The second one fouled a plug (#1 I think) so check that if your still having problems.
My question for you is where did you get a code sensor and how much? All the ones I'm finding at parts stores only go up to 95.

Hello Mr. Sub
I got my code reader at Kragens Auto, I’m sure you have them in Arz.
It's digital and cost $162 with tax. Its for OBDII systems which was mandated in 96 thru 2001. Its put out by Innova part #3100. Thy have a web site www.codereader.com you will be able to view all of their readers there and interesting data also.
Anyway, my light came back on and now I am getting the same code of P1151 Lack of HO2S21 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean and P1150 Lack of HO2S21 Switches - Fuel Trim At Limit, this code is pending. I still need to know which bank is which on my 96 Bronco, maybe I put the sensor in the wrong bank. Anyway my ears are wide open for suggestions from you or anybody because I am still CONFUSED

Thank you Oldfordtech:
I put the new sensor in the wrong bank, so the one I took out apparently is ok so I put it in bank 2. Hope it works, if not I'll put a new one in bank 2. I cleared the chip of its codes so I'll see how everything goes tomorrow. I also just put in a K&N Air Filter.
I want to say that I really appreciate the help and info from you and everyone else out there. This is a great site for tips, tricks, fixes ect. If one wants to learn something about their Ford Trucks this is the place. I’m a journeyman machinist, have been for 33 years and I do believe in teaching, "OLD DOGS NEW TRICKS" there’s always new things to learn and easier ways of doing something.
Thanks Again to OldFordTech and to Everyone Else
