Keep the size but cut the weight. Improve the brakes for better stopping, more life, and easier maintenance. A roll down rear window would be great. Improve the interior with more useful storage features like consoles that really hold laptop computers, phones, power points in the back seat and pickup bed, options for bed tie downs, etc. Design in maintenance friendly features like heater cores that don't require 8+ hours to replace, brake rotors that don't rust to the hubs, spark plugs that don't self-eject, oil filters that don't require unnatural physical movements to remove, bulbs that can be removed without disassembling the vehicle, etc.
Seriously think about what you typed. There is no way a sane Ford is going to give out a "drag pack" on a stock truck. The aftermarket is huge, and it is huge for a reason. Ford can make much more money selling stuff for rediculous prices after they sell the truck. They will not be offereing a Lightning with tons of power and modifications to make it the fastest truck out there. Should they? Yes. But are they going to? No. Too many problems involved, liability, stupid drivers, etc.
Much better for them to sell a hot-performing truck, then have lots of aftermarket parts they can sell you to hype it up even more. That way, the safe drivers with big wallets can upgrade.
Just how much horsepower do we put in a truck bone stock? There has to be a limit somewhere.
