Spark Plugs are devices that are sold as OE from Ford with all Real trucks. I heard a rumor about some gimick that the big 3 auto manufactures came up with to raise the price of an engine by 12,000.00. Aparentlly what they did is design a fuel that cost's 20% more yet has less actual refining processes. Then they took a descent engine and pulled out the ignition system and replacesd it with a "hot surface ignitor" to light the less refined fuel. Now after that they did some refining to the system and found a way to make the engine heavier with more cast iron and pot metal. They had to do this to contain the pressure needed to make the "crude oil" combust. This did allow them to delete the "glo plug". This engine also does not need Vaccuum to opperate.... I could go on, But I am sure you all see how deep this Gimick really goes. So basically they have deleted systems from the engine and not replaced them and made the fuel more costly and jacked up the price for not giving us these systems. So in my opinion.... Spark plugs are what REAL TRUCKS HAVE.

Snowbunny, Marty is just jealous he doesn't have a real Ford truck. He is like a Unicorn, one horned and fake. The fake portion is he thinks his truck is like ours and has four wheel drive. He removes a spark plug just to get the truck to sound like a diesel, then dumps another 12 quarts of oil and doesn't understand why it's overflowing.

Fester1st, welcome to our love hate relationship here in WAFTE. Great people to get info. from. Sorry you happen to pop in on the gasoline bashing side. Marty is just unhappy he doesn't have the power of a Diesel. It's OK we still love to beat him. Call him a sausage wallet and see what he says.

Just my 2 bits worth

Thank you for the welcome!

I'm sorry I cant leave this alone. Personaly FORD hasn't built a real truck since '79 and to hope to make a comeback shoved in a diesel engine, it didn't work just made'm worse. When ya all bought your trucks diesel was cheaper, NOW!that you two own a diesel BEENND OVVERR!
'74 F-100, no trips to the dealer here!
