I found the fusible links on the red/green wires and they must be both blown. I stuck a pin in before and after links and both had voltage (with key on) before, but none after. They connect to a blue wire which goes to the harness. Where the wire goes into the harness, the wire ends look pretty corroded. How do I replace the fusible links? I've never done that before. Also how do I replace the wires going from the fusible link into the harness? I didn't see them before because I was looking for the red/green wires, but had to open the wiring casing to see them...all I saw were the blue ones.

I've been thinking on this. Looks like going through the wiring harness, one set of two red/green wires goes through one fusible link, then to a blue wire on the other side of the harness. The other set of two red/green wires goes through a fusible link, then to a red/green wire on the other side of the harness. I think I could get a couple fuse holders and 20 amp fuses and cut each set of wires before the fusible link, then connect them to a fuse holder, then connect to the appropriate wire on the other side of the harness, bypassing the harness.
Any reason why that wouldn't work. The fusible links are 20 amp. That way if it blows another fuse, I could easily check and replace it.

I think if you follow the blue wire a little farther you will find a red/green wire attached to the other end.

Using fuses would work OK.

One thing I would look into before installing the fuses. Is to locate where a short might be at - causing the fuses to go out.

I'm hoping it is where the wires go through the wiring harness, which I'll bypass. Those wires look corroded at the harness, so were probably not letting full load go through. I'll get extra fuses just in case. Thanks.

Got the fuseholders put in with 20 amp fuses, but now wonder if I should go smaller. I thought the fusible links were 20 amp, but they are 20 gauge, which means it would probably be better with about a 10 amp fuse.

While I was at it, I disconnected the return fuel line from the filter top, plugged the top hole and clamped a bolt in the line. Will that return line build up pressure? I have trouble starting the truck as it seems the fuel drains back down when setting, then have to pump up the fuel pressure again.

After this, the WTS light comes on again, and the truck started. Think the Glow Plug relay is getting bad, as it intermittently works. Sometimes, it cycles and sometimes not. If it cycles, my voltage drops to about 10 volts, then clicks. If it doesn't cycle, voltage stays the same, the light stays on longer, and no clicking when light goes off.

Thanks for all your help, especially Dave, for telling me about the fusible links.

See if the glow plug relay starts to act better since it is getting more power now.
You may want to check the ground wire on the glow plug controller for corossion also.
