'94 F-350 4x4 chassis cab - "anti lock brakes" light

just got this truck and since its cold out havent really done much with it...not on the road yet...but getting ready for the first semi warm day to dig into and get started...

the previous owner replaced some brakelines (not an artist) and the anti-lock brake light is on....truck seems to stop OK...pedal a little spongy...but not terrible

Im wondering if I bleed the brakes if the light will go off...or is this a perenial issue with this vintage....like my old '89 f-250...which I believe had a sensor on top of the 10.25 inch sterling rearend that goes bad with age....

this truck probably has the Dana 80 rear....its dually with around 8500 rating

any help appreciated

If you do a search for this you will come up with about a zillion items. However some things you can try. Try bleeding the RABS unit. This is on the inside of the driver`s side frame rail about below the driver`s feet. Also check fluid level is up to spec. in master cylinder and check that the electrical connections to the master cclinder are clean and tight. Good luck.

I have a 94 F150 and my ABS light comes on and stays on occasionally when i start the truck...but then when i wiggle the ignition piece where the key goes into the steering colum back and forth the light goes out. Or shutting the truck off and restarting it helps but doesn't resolve the problem, I replaced all brake components but it still happins.
