I have a mazda B4000 with a automatic that is slipping slightly upon moving from a dead stop in forward or reverse.
A slight hesitation when just starting out and when it gets hot it will do it up to 3 times in a very short distance. Shifts perfectly on the highway. I just serviced the trans and it still does it.
Was it working fine prior to transmission service? Had a similar occcurence after having mine serviced and it was a combination of a cut O ring on trans. filter (there are 2) and a slightly low fluid level. I dropped pan ,cleaned magnet (had a lot crud on it) replaced filter and O rings replaced fluid and it solved problem. The shop I went to did a flush and dropped pan and removed filter and reinstalled it instead of replacing it with a new one and cut the O ring in the process .The O rings are supposed to be coated with new fluid prior to installing on filter and mounted in place. The sharp edges on filter make it easy to cut them if not careful.
Yes it was doing it before I put in the new filter and o rings However I did not pre oil the o rings first. my pan was very clean no sludge build up at all.
With it in park I can rock the truck (free play) 3 to 4" without the e brake being on.
When I stop and put it in park and then let off the brake it will roll forward 3 to 4" also.
