has anyone changed them and where do you change it? Did it help? How much can this drag down the air in my vents? I searched and didn't see any information.
I heard the filter would be under the glove box. I took the panel down that is under there but didn't see a filter or where it would be. If you have a filter it definitely is worth replacing it. I have a filter on the taurus and change it once a year and it is usually full of crud. We get very little dust in the car. If it was an easy mod I would do it on the truck.
yeh i didn't think f150's had them. I had one on my acura and bugs and crap would get inthere, so it is worth replacing it yourself. Very Easy if you have one.
I read a thread on it somewhere, thought it was here. If I remember correctly the instructions were to remove the glove box & the Filter holder is behind it.
I remember several post on this site saying that alot of the f150s didnt come with a filter but there is a knock out behind or below the glove box that has to be taken out, then you can insert a filter.
I bought a filter (1999 F-150) and then found the truck didn't have a cabin filter. If you lay face up on the passenger floor, looking up under the glove box, you will see a long slot about 10" x 1", molded into the plastic housing for the ventilation system. That's where the filter would go.

Don't you need a kit of parts to make that work? You didn't just slip it in that makes no sense.
