Sloppy Steering!!!
Try loosening the lock nut and then have someone move the steering wheel for you as you try to loosen the adjusting rod might need to lift the front-end off ground to do this. Hope this helps and Good Luck,

Sloppy Steering!!!
man thanks for the heads up on the steering adjustment! I've replaced everything from the steering column in the cab to the pump, gear box, bushing... you name it. adjusting it carefully helped out a lot. Unfortunately the NAPA down the street is going to have to lay off hiring those other three guys to keep up with me and my visa.
