hey guys, i have had an offer that i'm thinking of taking up for a few months just east of LA over the range, whats happening if anything that may be of interest to a like minded soul?, at this stage it may be from april 4 till june 10.
cya.gary
i only know we get off at LA, then another freind who is also going the same time will drop me off, on his way to LasVagas, it's the other side of the mountain range( fault line)but still in CA
Scrape - Does this place "over the mountain range" have a name? If it does, we may be able to help you. If it doesn't, it is probably safe to say nothing is going on there, spring or any other time.
"Over the mountain range" from LA could be: San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, Fort Tejon, Palmdale, Bakersfield, etc., depending on distance.
Sounds like Barstow to me, only good thing about that place is Stoddard valley and Johnson Valley are near by. Those places are good for rockcrawling or desert racing.
LA is pretty big, so east of LA could be anywhere as the guys said. Its funny how people know the fault lines versus cities , you'd think CA has Earthquakes or something??? I happen to live real near the fault line your probably talking about. The time your planning on coming is great and there is always things to do. Great car shows, you can't beat the weather and gorgeous women. Oh yea, great looking trucks too. I'm more north of LA and am still 250 miles from Las Vegas.
ok i get the picture, BIG COUNTRY,thing is though, distance does'nt worry me that much, currently it's a 120mile round trip to catch either a movie or a traffic light!, it's the amount of people that will throw me, we only have 8000 in the town/district when everyone is home ( when there isn't a drought, the cows/sheep out number us by atleast a 20 factor)i'll try and get the name of the area or town.
