$20 used to be the unit price at Fleetfilter.com. Turns out, though, that they recently upped the price to almost $25. That still keeps them cheaper than my local alternatives, even when adding shipping ($34 delivered in three days versus $38 plus tax and my fuel expense to go pick it up).
Thats definitely a better price than I found, especially "cause I need two. The going price around here is around $44-45. I haven't checked the big guys yet like fleet pride and such. Is this 6637 a pretty universal no.?
There are a bunch of cross reference numbers, depending on who you buy from. At www.fleetfilter.com, the number is 46637. I've searched all over the net, and they have the best price around (at least they did in December when I placed my order). I'd mail order it from fleetfilter and be done with it.
I just went to the fleetfilter site, and they are offering a 5% discount on purchases that total more than $50. A single 46637 is $24.86 with no discount.
Just finished installing 6637 on early 99 F350, I got a piece of 4" OD tubing from muffler shop and the installation was easy. Just be aware that the 6637 does increase turbo noise. Some folks like the sound, I personally do not so am now looking for some other intake system/filter to increase flow with out the increased noise.
I've got the AIS now, the 6637 drone was too much while towing. However without the trailer, I really liked the whistle and all the other cool noises I got with the 6637.
I took out my 6637 and replaced it with stock while I was waiting for the AIS, and noticed maybe a small drop in power (EGTs went up a bit). However with the AIS in (and the fender sleeve mod) it seems to have picked up again. Not sure about EGTs, haven't towed yet...
Fleet filter was where i got mine when i order it but if they up'd there price to 25 then its the same price after shipping for me to get it locally and not have to wait. Weird thing is that everyone says there's last a long time, mine only lasted 3 months(8K), and i cannot see light through it. I know its filtering well though!
