I've only had my 01 PSD for a few months and haven't had to do much work on it. I'm building up a tool box to carry with me for emergencys from what little work I have done It seems that everything on this truck is metric is my assumption correct?
So far, knock on wood, the only specialty tool that I have needed in 158000 miles is a chain wrench for getting the fan off the water pump when I had to change the pump. Otherwise, for me, most of what I've need is one of each screw driver, 7mm, 10mm, 11mm, 13mm, and 14mm. Those have pretty much taken care of everything so far. But of course you'll need a BFH and some duct tape.

I like it. Nothing beats carrying a BFH, very mulitipurpose.
I also carry spare fuses, tape and some zip ties. I haven't used any yet but they seem like a logical addition where they are so useful every where else.
I started out with a full socket set of 1/4,3/8,1/2" and various ratchets and extentions, screwdrivers, and various other pliers and common hand tools in a 24" plastic tool box. As i did each mod and used a tool i didn't have in there i threw it in. Now i have just about everything i could imaging in this little yellow box. It fits alot but is really heavy and now i always have the tools i will need with me. Added a digital multimeter, laptop with autoenginuity, fuses, hose clamps, and alot more hand tools i can't think of right now. cps goes in the glove box.
I agree, never leave home without what you think you might need. I use my truck to haul my jeep everywhere withing Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Nevada. I have been caught on the road and off with out parts and tools. I catch alot a flack from guys asking wheres the kitchen sink, just for them to turn around and say Bonz you got this?? I say yep but it is gonna cost ya a beer and rest of the trip having to hear about from time to time. It always goes both ways.
