Someone stole my tools

I went out to my truck earlier today to grab a flashlight and noticed my tool box had been broken open. Someone went into my tool box and stole all of my tools out of it

I'm glad that I do not make a living using my tools or I'd really be in trouble. I do not think I will ever keep my tools inside of a truck box ever again.

i have had that happen before. i turned a wrench at a linc. merc. dealer for a while and when i quit i had moved in with some friends of mine one day went into the garage and both the top and bottom box where gone. must have been someone we knew because it would have taken at least two guys to load them up and they where the only thing missing. plus being a your guy and living with friends i had no insurance, that sucked

Sorry to hear about that. I used to be a machine mechanic at a manufacturing plant. Somebody would go in my toolbox and borrow something w/o asking and never bring it back. I had to buy a set of screwdrivers every year, along w/ slip joint and needlenose pliers. As said earlier, THIEVES SUCK!

Don't these thieves have any class at all? To steal someone's tools is as bad as reaching into their underwear.

I'm so happy that I do not know who did it or I'd kill them. I'd rather just buy new ones then spend time in jail. Oh well, now I can buy the new stuff I was wanting to get without feeling guilty.

Sorry about your tools.

I'd probally go crazy and sleep in my toolbox. and wait for him to come back.

Had a buddy that works in a semi-ghetto area. had his truck broken into. Guy stole 90 bucks, a new satalite radio, his amp and speaker. he saw the late 80's caprice speed away.

So on every break he got he went out and watched his truck with a .44, 2 days later they came back and hit the truck a couple of spots over.
Needless to say that guy wasn't holding his ***** at that time. Put a hole right in his butt cheek. He was holding that while his buddy's were dragging him into the car.

They haven't been seen since.

That's not the way to handle it though.

Thinking about purchasing one of those alarm systems. Has anyone had any luck with one of those?

Oh, the one with the single or double barrel??

Never had an alarm system on a truck i think the shotgun rack stirs most people away. Plus around here if your truck is stolen you usually would know where to look.

Wouldn't that be something. You are sleeping in your tool box then they break in. You jump out and YELL! That would scare the crap out of them! Mwahahahaha! It would be hilarious!

It would be hilarious, especially if my shoulders got stuck. Wouldn't be too comfortable i'm just over 6'2" the tool box inside the rails is probally 5.

I agree they are not worth going to jail for.

Wait a minute you would go to jail for shooting someone that broke into your truck???

Where are you from? Can't be the south.

If it were around here and someone pressed charges for getting shot for braking into a truck the Sherrif would probally say, "This is a man's tools were talkin' about, son, that's something you don't mess with"

If i shot a man for braking into my truck the sherrif would probally say he had it coming. I can get out of speeding tickets if i did it(i know the deputy's daughter ) but i think it would be in my rights to shoot that scum.

I guess an electrified rail would work wonders. Get a large taser(large taser is a Commercial grade batt jumper). Set it on trickel charge. Isolate the handle of the tool box. Make the Box ground and the handle hot. I don't know any one that opens the tool box without touching both the box and the handle at the same time. plus 2amps is more than enough to do damage
