I need a posi for my truck. Whats a good unit that will lock quickly going straight, and unlock around corners. Whats a good price and wheres a good place to get one? Another thing is should I regear when i get the POSI. I'm going to eventually have 37's on my truck. .. so I'm thinking of a good regear to bring my rpms back to near factory. Thanks.

A limited slip wont lock, per se, it will limit, as the name implies, the slippage. I have a detroit true trac and I'm content with it because I knew what it was going to do before I put it in. I can still slide on ice, but if I'm at a stop sign and go forward and start to slip, I still go forward rather than sit there and punch a hole down to the pavement.
One of my mechanic friends raves about the Auburn limited. No personal experience with it, but one gearhead out there likes it.
Now a full locker will lock in, but not unlock around corners. An example from detroit again, its not like you welded your axles. They do let it slip a minimal amount for cornering.
Now when I got my posi I assumed (mistake) that a full locker would go clunk clunk clunk around a corner but have since had a number of folks tell me it ain't so.
Have you considered an air locker, like an ARB? You have basically an open diff and a switch. You're open for the 95% of the time you want that, and when you want locked, you hit the switch and you're locked. Pretty slick. I remember a college pal with an old Jeep J20 truck that had a switch in the glovebox that did that. I didnt know squat about them back then but it was cool. You'd get stuck something fierce with water and mud and goo coming in the doors and pop into 4x, open the box and hit the button. You coulda walked up a tree.
I know a limited slip won't lock. What i need is a center section that will be open when I need it open. . either by automatic means. . . electromagnetic. . . air. . . . or mechanical. and lock when I need it to. I don't want it to clunk when making turns. But I need it to lock when I need it locked.

Sounds like you are either looking at and ARB air locker on and Eaton E-Locker then. Those would be brands I'd recommend others make the same but those I hear a lot about.
I can vouch for the ARB. One of my customers trucks has ARB lockers front and rear. The lines are tucked out of the way and would be pretty hard to rip off. I myself also have a Detroit True Trac, and it does exactly what I need. While not a locker, it is not a conventional limited slip either. The more power you feed it, the stronger it latches. I can have one tire on pavement, one tire on gravel and still smoke the tire on pavement. But it will slip in low power low traction situations.
If you are going to 37's, then a gear change would be very advisable to keep your performance. I would recommend a 4.56 for average performance. 4.88's if you tow much, and 4.30's for a bit better economy.
