I had not heard of the loyalty rebate until now. I just bought an 06 PSD in October last year and it replaced an 05 PSD. I purchased the 06 for the x-plan price and 0% financing for 5 years. Probably not an exceptional deal, but I was happy - until now. I suppose the loyalty $'s aren't retroactive ........ ????
If you got x-plan and 0% you got a fair deal. Last car I bought under x-plan was several hundred under dealer invoice. Were the loyalty $$ available when you bought the truck? If so, the dealer should have known and told you about it. Normally loyalty $$ or other incentives are not retroactive, in fact if you bought your truck the day before the loyalty $$ came out and asked them to apply them they wouldnt. I had this happen to me once, rebate went from 1500 to 2500 over night, called Ford and they said nothing they could do, the rebate was based on the date of sale.
The loyalty rebate came about last year to entice owners of '03 and '04 PSD's who were experiencing problems with their vehicles or "might" experience problems to trade in to a '05 or '06 PSD.
If I remember correctly mine was worth about $5000.00. I traded in my '04 Xl supercab psd for a '06 XLT supercab psd. Payments stayed about the same. Got a whole lot more truck now and a lot less worry about problems.
If you got your truck for the X-plan price and 0% financing you got a pretty decent deal.
