Question calibrating mechanical speedometer

I have a 2000 F250 4X4 with the 5.4L. My speedometer is NOT digital and I need to know if an aftermarket calibrator could be used to calibrate my mechanical speedometer? I haven't looked underneath yet to see if it has the traditional tranny-to-gauge cable or if it too is driven by the VSS. Does anyone know how this is set up? I know Superlift and Jet make a speedometer calibrator and I have sent e-mails to each company asking this same question but no reply yet.

I have the superlift truspeed. It works great but... the dealer can recalibrate the speedo for tire sizes up to 35's... well at least for diesels... not sure about gassers. I would think it would be the same.

good luck,
Steven
