I know nothing is better than factory shop manuals, but which aftermarket manual would you buy? Chilton's, Haynes, any others? Also why would you buy that particular book. I have just acquired another bronco, so I now have 4 truck of the 80-86 era. Feel free to move this thread if you feel it is the wrong forum.
Chiltons and Haynes don't give much beyond basic info you probably already know. You would be best getting a set of real manuals for the truck, you can usually find them on evilbay or CL for a reasonable price.
Haynes and Chilton have some good illustrations, but for the most part they tell you what you already know. Go with OEM to get the level of detail you need. Save yourself some frustration.
