I have a 94 f-150 with intermittent wipers. My blinkers work fine, but when i turn on the wipers they don't come on until i hold the handle up a little bit and then hold it up to keep them going. When i do this i can hear a relay clicking under the dash on the passenger side. If i put the switch so the lights would be on bright they don't work at all. What do i need to get? The whole assembly for in the column or something else?
Yeah, its the multi function swith on the left side of the steering column. I have had it in 3 different Ford vehicles around this time period. All three had problems of one sort or another. The good news is it should be easy to find a replacement. I don't know how much, but practically every Ford vehicle, I think, in this period had that swith/lever. It sounds like all the relays are working fine, its usually the contacts of the lever, so as you move the lever to a position where the contacts aren't so worn out, a turn position, you will have better control with the wipers. Hope this helps!

There are a few screws that remove the plastic covers (top&bottom), then a few screws that holds the turn signal/wiper unit in. Unplug the wiring harness. That's about it if memory serves. I know it did not take long.
