4" MBRP turbo back exhaust on my 06 F-350 *video clip*
Hey everyone, I put on my 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust and took a short video. It is def. getting louder with more milage on the new exhaust. I love it. MPG seems to have gone up by 1 MPG. My truck is an 06 F-350 SC LB with 12,500 miles and about 600 miles on the exhaust. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/3...df01138fa6.htm
I just ordered the same setup for my 04 on Friday. Cant wait to try mine out. Just wondering if you have a cold air intake and how much more this increased the air flow.

Keep the stock intake!! You will have alot more turbo wine than him with an 04 truck trust me, I'm running the same set up. My 04 is alot louder than some of the 05 and 06 I've seen and heard.
I already have the k n cold air intake so I probably wont be changing it back out. just wondering if anyone has heard one with it installed.
You'll have a louder throatier sound from the front of the truck but thats bout it. Seriously you need to get rid of the K&N me and a few others have had them on for short amount of time (me around 12k miles) and they have dusted our turbos. Your dealer may not warrenty a turbo if they see that K&N on there. It really not worth the damage it "WILL" do. Stock flows just as good and unless your going to heavly mod your truck, larger turbo, nitrous, larger than 4" exhaust, larger injectors, you are really just waisting your money and it's not needed.

I just installed my MBRP 4" Turbo back, with the cat delete pipe. I also have the K&N cold air intake kit installed for some time now and with the new exhaust system sounds awesome. The turbo whine is not noticably any different than before the exhaust system upgrade. In fact you can barely tell the exhaust has been modified unless you roll down the windows/ and or drive through an area where your sounds reflect back like an alley or tunnel. Course if ya put the pedal to the metal she growls out NICE. I am totally impressed and satisfied with my new exhaust and the way she runs and sounds. I was fearing it would be obnoxious and loud, but it is a respectable growl.
Oh, and if ya go to the exhaust pipe while she is idling all you hear is a very clean WHooosh! of air exiting. Soundl like a jet engine as you slowly throttle up. Cool. I am content. Now to get the gauges on order. By the way I have the Predator 60hp tune installed. Waiting for the gauges before trying the 100hp setting. Good luck Supermanpsd

My 04 makes that sound like a kitten, I want to keep the roar but would like to cut down the whistle down just a bit. Don't get me wrong I love the whistle but it seems to make people really mad. I feel bad because I should be setting an example and all, due to the fact that I am in the police academy and want to follow the rules I am to enforce. Anyone have any ideas on how to cut the whistle down just a hair.
Did you remove the CAT? If so, reinstall it and the whistle will be a LOT less. The muffler delete will let you keep the deep V8 sound. If you haven't deleted the CAT, you haven't even heard whistle yet!!

Yeah the cat fell off so I put a piece of 4" stainless in place of it. At idle it sounds like a damn jet so I can imagine what the cars at stop light hear when I take off. I have heard it once in a tunnel and it was ear busting. I will try to "find" the cat and remount it this coming week and see if I like that sound as well as I do now.
