I have an 84 Ford F250 4x4 with a 351 Windsor. I am not getting a spark and I cant find the problem. Everything in the truck works and the motor still turns over. But no fire! I have no spark! I have an MSD-6AL unit, an MSD ignition coil, new wires, plugs, cap, rotor. I recently replaced the voltage regualtor and starter solnoide. Does my truck have a switch under the dash Ive heard about that turns off the ignition? I have heard also of fusable links but I dont know where they are. Please help! Thanks, Matt
Make sure you have voltage on the + side of the coil with the key in run and start. What distributor are you using? Are you still using the original ford module also?
mine had the same problem and it did turn out to be a kill switch under the dash...someone else had installed it aftermarket and it fell apart opening the circuit...i also had an LTD that lost spark and i replaced the module and fired right up.
I still am using the stock MotoCraft distributor. As far as I know the module is stock.

If you think it's the stock electronic ignition box giving the trouble, I think there is a way for you to wire your stock dist to drive the MSD box directly. Go to their website and they have the instructions for your model MSD. Also they have special instructions for each type of dist and what options you have for wiring.
