i have a 1984 bronco and got a free set off 33's. it hasn't been lifted YET! but i was wondering is the 33's will fit. i am sure the will rub alittle but will it get me to work and back fine intill it is lifted?
They should, but there are factors to consider. i.e. spring sag, wheel offset, etc. I run 32X11.50 on my 90 with a stock suspension with no rubbing at all, but I have heard some bronco owners who say that 31X10.50 rub the radius arm a little. I would say go for it, if the rubbing is really bad you can always put your old tires back on and buy that lift :-)
I had 33's on my stock height '85 and they just barely rubbed the radius arms at full turn. It would depend most on the offset of the wheels you are going to use.
Yes they would fit. The one thing to consider is the clearance in the fender wells when you go off-road. Also, the tires may rub on the front sway bar and the radious arms.
When I bought my 90' Bronco, it had 33x12.5 tires on 15x8 rims. The sidewalls bulged out a little because of thw width of the rims. Last year {Octber) I had bought ne tires (33x12.5) and new rims. The new rims are 15x10 and now the tires stand an inch or two taller. The tires stuffed the wheel wells very nicely. And, I did not have any rubbing at all. The only problem that Iwould have had was that I would not be able to go off-road, because of tire clearance in the finder wells. So I ended up putting on a four inch suspension lift. Now I can't wait to go off-raod.
Hope this helps
