PSOM test E 08 5

I did the psom test and came up with a sweep and E 08 5. Other posts say it should read E 08 6. I've got a 97 2wd. Is the "5" telling me something??? The test seems a bit different than what I've read. With the ignition off, I press the reset button and as soon as I turn the ignition on, it sweeps immediately and displays E 08 5. So I don't have to hold the reset button down for a few secs either.

the 5 means you have 5 speedo changes left. when you get to 0 you have to replace the PSOM module which is money! so most people just dont change the speedo after that
