Shift fork blues
Anybody know what the deal is with the 1-2 shift forks in the m5?ive changed mine twice in the last 5 thousand miles. My truck is a 96 F150 4x4 LB, with 4.9, 31s and 3:55 gears. I traded the shifter tower this time to see if its that. It seems to be a problem 4 lots of trucks. I dont let my hand ride the shifter either. Truck has 140k. I found a 88 Bronco with a k trans. I might Swap. Im really not liking my m5. Reverse is to tall also. Ive always loved my c6s, c4s and FMXs. I like my T5 in 92 GT, but its just strong enough. Will any old Allison 4spds or anything else work?
