if it has manual hubs, you might be in luck for an easy solution. just unlock one or both hubs (if possible, hubs might also be in a bind and then move forward abd back a short distance at low speeds and it should unbind the shifter to allow you to shift back into 2wd. If both hubs are two tight to turn, try jacking one wheel off the ground and then wiggle the tire and the hub should release. don't ask me how i know this
Look at the frount wheels, and there should be a hub in the center of them, this is off a chebby, but it's all I could in the google search I did (2 sec)
Bad: We tried it twice and he doesnt care. Wont even try to shift out. And when he is in his not low 4x mood he is making a lot of noise under the middle of the frount seat. you know like when we try to put him in 2wd
Thank you soo much for trying to help!!! Its you people that hep that makes me love this site!!!
You should be able to put it in neutral, chock the wheels and get under it.look for a 1/2" square recessed in the top of the trans. case, use a half inch drive extension on a half inch rachet or pull bar to manually force it outta gear.Should turn about a half a round to get it out and should have an arrow on it letting you know which way to turn it.
