OK, I screwed up and lost my old Bronco manual and the separate instructions for turning the shift lever arm on my AOD. It currently is pointing down and I need to turn it up. I'd really appreciate a bit of help, not with my memory, with the shift lever turning.
Remove the valve body.
Undo the large nut inside at the arm.
Remove the small roll pin in the case.
Pull the arm out and crank it around.
You may be able to turn it by just undoing the nut and pushing the rooster comb off.
Thanks Stuart! I just got it all buttoned back up. I did manage to pop a spring of that keeps pressure on the kickdown valve and lever, but after a few minutes figured out where it goes and had it back in place, no sweat.
That's what I like about this site. Lots of help when I need it!
