Your help at the Shelter would be greatly appreciated, and you'd have a good time walking them in the woods there.
My wife and I would love to come and walk the dogs on the weekends that we don't have to work. I am working both days this weekend, but next weekend am free. Do I just go down to the shelter and say "Hi, I want to walk the dogs!"? Brittany (my wife) is off on Saturday. Let me know how we can help please!

Excellent! Donna works Saturdays, give her a call at 678-5816, 9AM to 4PM. She says that there is a WAIF Volunteer breakin meeting next Saturday, Mar 10th from 3:00 to 3:30PM (call to confirm that). Shows where the trails are, walkthrough the kennels, Well Room, Quarantine Room, meet the people there. Then Walk The Dawgs anytime you want

ps: I think that's the most AM's and PM's i've written since was 18 years old - usually write 0900-1600 etc like in Europe. Reverting to American civilian is tough!
I manage 110 head of fat cattle in our feedlot on the WSU campus, am a senior and almost done here. My parents in Tenino WA also run about 150 pair, so have critters all over.
Vomiting and death. The recall is for the "cuts and gravy" style food of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches from Dec. 3 to March 6. It is NOT for the dry food.
Menu Foods, the Ontario-based company that produced the pet food, said Saturday it was recalling Dog food sold under 46 brands and Cat food sold under 37 brands including Iams, Nutro and Eukanuba. The food was distributed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico by major retailers across North America.
An unknown number of cats and dogs had suffered kidney failure and about 10 died after eating the affected pet food, the company said.
Menu Foods' chief executive and president Paul Henderson told the Associated Press on Friday that the company was still trying to figure out what happened.
He said that the company had received a number of owner complaints that dogs and cats were vomiting and suffering kidney failure after eating its products.
The recall covers the company's "cuts and gravy" style food, which consists of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches from Dec. 3 to March 6. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/busine...ml?source=mypi
I give mine plenty of dry food and water. Their 'wet' food is table scraps, but on a limited basis.
They will tell you that I will buy meat that has been reduced and cook it for them...Our babies like that alot!
Even though they have their own room, and twin bed to sleep on, they will tell you that they are not spoiled...LOL This was my wife's idea. I will go along with it, until they ask for a cell phone! At that point, I will have to put my foot down.
Mine expect a biscuit at 1430 promptly. But we never spoil our Critterz, right?

This isn't my critter, but is sharing my property. Ugly ain't it? It's a pileated woodpecker. They're well over a foot long in the body, bigger than my Amazons, and makes jungle-like screeches and manic-laughter in the woods. Took a while to get used to.
Thanks Jared, now that my mistakes are fixed once again for me (lol) I'm off to bed. Got the daughter coming over tomorrow and don't want to be hungover when she gets here! haha...
Pheweeee! Every morning the parrots start yakking and I go uncover them --- a big rush of el stinko guano! hits the air and I into the cage. That still doesn't cover the smell, even a good 'ol ripe beer gusher.
