What year is your truck? I have the AFE stage 2. It is probably the best for performance wise...but it is expensive. You can get just about the same results with a tymar intake and it is a fourth of the cost.... It is like 80 bucks ordered from a sponser... or you can make it yourself for cheaper..
Right now I have a MAC Performance intake its about 2 years old and I just want a new one. Just getting everyones opinions. Also I will need a intake that includes the tube as well.
Both kits have the tube that runs into where the mounting bracket at the CCV is... There is also one more that will be mention which is the AIS intake.... it is probably the best filtration and price wise...it is inbetween the two mentioned above...
We have had great response from people who have bought the AIS kit from us. We also manufacture a foam sleeve to go between a cut-out in the side of the box and the cowl to increase cold air flow. No doubt AFE is a great product but for the towing crowd where cold air is key I would go with the AIS.

There is less then 2 degrees differance between the intake air temps on a AFE and a AIS... That AIS is a good system but facts to facts there is better performance and flow with the AFE.
AIS is a great filter but to up the flow you need to do a mod to it drilling a hole in the fender and AIS housing. I am running the 100HP setting without the mod and has not tripped the filter minder but has come close.

Some folks aren't needing to feed 500+hp. The AIS especially with the fender sleeve is a great mod for guys on a little tighter budget who need a good quality system for towing and or dusty conditions and daily driving. MAP pricing for AFE Stage II is over $400.
