I am considering the AIS my truck is totally stock. Is there any need for the fender sleeve?

I haven't seen the need for it. My egt's are good, I haven't popped the minder, in 40tow or 80econo at WOT.

JNB,
I have done a ton of mods and still run the AIS without the fender sleeve. I like it quiet and it seems to be getting plenty of air.JMO

I have no problems with the AIS not using the sleeve.
If you ever experience towing with a 6637 then tow the same load with a AIS, you will be in love.

I loved the turbo song under load, but hated the downhill drone of the 6637.
Going up hill was great
, coming downhill sounded like a set of bongo drums in my head.

Yeah i know what you mean. Having a WW and ATS, and the 6637, i got a headache driving a round trip 450 miles yesterday. I am going to change out the WW for the stock compressor wheel before i make the trip to BTS, at 3psi the whistle comes on loud and its all you can hear over the radio.
(Offtopic- however with the flat land and tailwind, i cruised 80mph and had no exhaust drone, COULDNT hear the stacks (!) and no engine noise whatsoever over the wind noise. Fuel mods- nice)

6637 is a far improvement over the stock air box. Good luck.
