Wassap ya'll. I'm new not only to the msg board, but to fords as well. This is the 2nd ford I've owned, though the first one lasted less than 3 months (87 ranger, rolled off a cliff and into a revine).
Anyway, I recently picked up a '72 F100 with a 360 in it, 6" lift 9" 350 in the rear and usual Dana 44 in front. I slapped some old 31's i had layin around from my jeep. I'll put 35's under it when the funds become available. I plan on putting a Pwr Steering unit on it to start with (manual steering sux when yer in deep mud on on rocks).
I've got some questions about a few things. I'm a jeep man, so bear with me while i convert.
There are several good forums for you to check out. I would recommend the 67-72 F-100, the Offroad and 4X4, and your visit would not be complete without stopping by the TN chapter. To find these forums just click on the Forum tab at the upper left and all of them will be displayed.
tapewyrm, sounds like a problem. We're glad to have you aboard. Info awaits. Got a ?? - Just ask. Jeeps are OK - I guess. My daily is a bit smaller and cheaper. My grandaughters frequently ask to go Trackin'. Keep a light smile & enjoy.
