G'day from Australia

Hello all!

Just aquired my first Effy, although not new to Fords, having owned at least twenty over the years, mostly Falcons, with a few Cortinas and Zephyrs for good measure.

What I now have (I think) is a 1969 F100, (at least that's what is written on the registration label) fitted out as a tow truck. Under the bonnet ... (hood for you northerners) is a six cylinder hooking up to a 4 speed box. Wheels are eight stud with the dual rears, so I'm wondering if it might not actually be a 350, particularly as the PO said the wheelbase had been shortened (professionally and legally)

Plans are uncertain at this stage, may go 4x4 conversion, V8(?) Auto(?) certainly lower numbers for the diff.
Then again I may just leave it as is and drive it on weekends under historical club registration.

Welcome!

Sounds like a cool truck! For the best information on it just click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll down to the 67-72 forum.

Several of your neighbors are here and the best place to find them is in the International chapter. Check it out: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum141/

Enjoy your Effy!
