97 Ford Explorer XLT Power Lock Problems
I wonder if someone could help me with the location of my Door Lock/Unlock Relays.My door locks for some reason just keep trying to lock all the time and wont unlock.The only way to stop them is to push the unlock button,but this doesnt unlock them.
Also in the middle of the night yesterday the Horn came on and stayed on until i pulled the Horn relay.The hazards dont blink now when i press the alarm key fob to arm or disarm the system.I was wondering if the antitheft system is in meltdown ??.
Can anyone offer some advice or clues

Try unplugging the drivers power lock switch and see if it still tries to lock all of the time.
The hazards not blinking is probably due to the truck drying to lock all of the doors constantly.

The only connection between the door locks & the horn is the "remote antitheft personality/RAP" module.
The RAP is wired to the door lock relays AND to the horn relay.
Maybe the RAP has gone stupid on you.
Not sure if the RAP can be reset by removing voltage to it or not.
The RAP gets voltage from 20 amp maxi fuse 3 under the hood in the power distribution box.

I believe it is all controlled by the Gem and the RAP module.I would say it is one of those giving you problems unless you have a wire with the insulation rubbed off making contact trying to lock the door.
