Question need advice from you guys

i have few questions, if i might ask,
first off injectors :
1) i have an option to buy MiniMe stage3 injectors for 1800 used for 2000miles
2) buy new injectors stage 3 almost the same new for 2650
3) do the DIY injector kit for 1350
now turbo :
1) buy H2E turbo for 2250
2) buy Garett BB turbo for 1500 or 1700,

im going to buy somthing within a week or so,
what do you guys think, maybe few guys over in BIG power departament can throw somthing in, thank you so much, always a pleasure beeing here,
just need some input form you guys to put me over here or there

IMO, there is one big item missing from that list. That being the HPOP. A weak or strong HPOP can make a HUGE differance in performance, mileage, and even egt's - even with stock injectors. See if there is someone nearby with an AutoEnginuity that can check your HPO under driving conditions with a chip

But to answer your question, I have never heard anythign bad about the Mini-Me's for a daily driven truck. I will have to let someone else answer the turbo questions.

Depends on how far you want to take it. Daily driver with up to 40lbs of boost the Garrett BB will do.

If you are going all out with head studs, high rev kit, ect for huge HP numbers then the H2 will be better.

im going to go with Hybrid for that reason, and my truck is running DPTuner now and with 140 settings i have no problem so far,
and i wish i have somone near by with that toy, i might end up buying it, will see, its on my list of things to get, and if i do have weak HPOP ill get big oil setup to get it over with,,,

amiller, thanks for replay, im going to taket as far as i can without going overboard( which im doing allready ) but im thinking 450-500 RWH this is what im looking for, and still be able to drive it to home depot,
so should i just stick with H2E or Garett?
what you think?

Mini me's are BIG... Its going to take good tuning to make it streetable. A GTP-38r will be fine, but the H2e is rebuildable...

Turbonetics has a few turbos out now that are very nice, a T60 would be sweet (thats what we are putting on the X)

You will be fine without the big oil. I have much smaller injectors but the only time I set a code is on the insanity tune and really hammering it.

Black Widow Diesel has a lot of Turbonetics turbos.

I would personally do big oil and non-hybrid injectors, just for the fact of well i think hybrids are a half-*** way of doing it. Oh well if you want hybrids i would take that deal on the used set, and do not be suprised if you set a P1211 code because of low oil pressure. Just trying to save you some headaches and preventing the "wish i woulda done this first" kind of deal.

What? Half-assed? We got along just fine without big oil and big injectors a few years ago... It all in how your tunes are writin and how you drive it.... You will be fine without big oil, but it will make it more fun...

If I did it again I would still go injectors first.

If you have a 2001 with PMR rod's you are playing with fire going above 400-425hp... I have a buddy here that is running 530 injectors, a term big oil and a WOQS turbo, he is right at 425-440hp, very tuned down to keep it alive...

If I were you I would stay with a set of 180ish injectors and a turbo. Should put you right at the 375-425 range. Good with the PMRs... I will check back tomarrow! Wife is home!!! LOL

Danny Elmore ran mini-me's and the GTP38R for a while with great success. His fastest runs were in the 12's on 37" tires. Now he's building a bigger monster, but recently sold his injectors and turbo in good working condition.

But like CSIPSD said, your are looking for trouble with PMR's. That engine won't take 500hp. If you are wanting that kind of power, you'll have to yank it out and do some bottom end work.
