OK this may sound foolish but I just bought an XP and love everything about it but the front seat. It is an EB w/leather and I slide all over the darn thing. I dont expect to autocross w/my truck but I would like to sit still around corners. Any thoughts or sugestions?
probably cheapest solution (and least attractive) is an aftermarket cover. Maybe you could get one of those taxi cab driver deals made with something other than the torture wooden beads.
I don't know if the EB expy's and non EB match with tracks and mounts, but if they do you may be able to pull one from a salvage yard. New one's are usually tough to find.
Haven't swapped a driver side bucket on anything later than late 80s so I don't know how tough a chore the motorized and heaterized seats are to get in tracks (but I expect its probably worth it to go with pros if you swap the whole seat, knowing the stickiness and finickiness of the expy motorized tracks).
