Im think of putting a body lift on my 1990 bronco
does any one know of a good place on line to purchase
and see some pictures any advice is appreciated
I purchased a 2" body lift kit for my 1990 Bronco about four months ago.I haven't installed it yet.I bought it from an online store, but I forget who(I'll have to look around for the invoice).I know they got it to my doorstep quickly.Only took about one week. They offer both a 2" body lift, and a 3" body lift. I think the 2" lift I got, with shipping cost included, was in the neighborhood of $100,but I also bought a set of fender liners, because when you raise the truck's body, there will be a gap, leaving the engine somewhat exposed,so mud&water could get into engine compartment. For the extra $25-30 the liners cost(which they also suggested...),I figure it will be worth it.Good luck.I'll let you know how the installation goes once I finally get around to having it installed.
Save your money for a suspension lift. They make a 2 inch lift for the front of your bronco that is inexpensive. This lift will level out your bronco and give you more room for bigger tires. I have had bad luck with body lifts plus they make your rear bumper sit lower off your body. In my opinion they just do not look good.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Oct-02 AT 08:00 PM (EST)]I just got a PA 3inch body lift installed and am very happy. I would like to have gotten a suspension lift, but the diff in price was a factor ($88 delivered versus $500++??) I now clear 35 inch tires with no rubbing yet. My bumpers have been modified to look EXACTLY as before the lift was installed. I mean absolutely flush as originaly. I bought my lift from desertrat.com for that price as they priced-matched the lowest competitor I could find (for the lift only) which was National tire and wheel. Since I bought my wheels/tire package from them I inquired and thats what they gave it to me for. Just wanted to let you know that it is possible to run the body lift with no probs and bring up the bumpers perfectly level. It takes some time and money, but still way less cheaper than a susp lift.

Yes you can lift your bumpers up but you cant lift your frame and it does show from a side view. Unless you get nerf bars the side view looks bad in my opinion. If you only want two inches of lift a 2 inch suspension lift does not cost 500 dollars your looking at about 250 or less. With the cost of lifting the bumpers and nerf bars you might as well go suspension. This is just my opinion I just have not had good luck with body lifts.
Yea Bronco Cam, you'r right about the price being less. I was thinking the price of a 4-6 inch susp lift, so for 2inches, its less than I posted (and would justify thinking about a susp lift instead of a body lift for that amount of lift)
